SPUTNIX has partnered with the Alfa Fellowship Program
SPUTNIX has partnered with the Alfa Fellowship Program to host one of their participants, Ashley Kowalski, for a 6-month work placement. The Alfa Fellowship Program is a distinguished international initiative that provides accomplished young professionals from the United States, Great Britain, and Germany with the opportunity to receive intensive language training, attend professional seminars, and participate in high-level professional development work assignments at Russian organizations and companies. The Program is funded by Russian Alfa Bank.

The first intern for this program at SPUTNIX is the U.S. specialist Ashley Kowalski. Ms. Kowalski holds an M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and has most recently worked at The Aerospace Corporation with their Space Architecture Department.
At SPUTNIX, Ms. Kowalski will be assisting with a variety of tasks. She will be conducting an analysis of the European aerospace market, comparing software products for CubeSat space mission analysis, researching attitude determination and control system (ADCS) test bed products, and assisting with SPUTNIX’s satellite education department efforts. This placement at SPUTNIX will allow her to gain valuable international work experience in Russia within the field of aerospace engineering and to expand her knowledge of international science and technology policy and markets.
