Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between SPUTNIX and Montpellier-Nîmes University Space Center (CSU)

04 Dec. 2015. Within the framework of the technological partnership on the MEDITERRANEE project, the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between SPUTNIX and CSU, France. The purpose of this cooperation is development of components of ROBUSTA-3A (3-unit CubeSat) ADCS.

Development of elements of the three-axis ADCS including reaction wheels, magnetometer and electromagnetic coils is expected. Besides, the Memorandum provides sharing of experience on development and operation of microsatellites’ ADCS, as well as mathematical and algorithmic assisting in related works. Opportunity of ground tests of the ADCS (with the use of SPUTNIX technologies) and resource sharing of ground control and telemetry receiving stations for the satellites developed by CSU and SPUTNIX is agreed also. The Memorandum envisages that parties will share information in order to clarify wishes and possibilities of one another for achieving aforesaid goals.

SPUTNIX' professionals note that the choice of SPUTNIX products has been made by CSU in a strong competition with European, American and South African companies. This demonstrates high level of SPUTNIX technologies and shows recognition of their experience at the international level. "Of course there is a lot of work to do to encourage this cooperation, but we are going to provide our partners with one of the most powerful, precise and reliable three-axis ADCS for 3U-CubeSat in the world ", - Andrey Potapov, SPUTNIX CEO said.
The head of CSU, professor Laurent Dusseau noted that SPUTNIX is a promising and a well-known private company that provides favorable conditions of on-board systems' supply. He expressed the hope for successful completion of joint work by the time of planned satellite launch in 2018.

CSU specializes in development, design, production and use of nanosatellites and related technologies. The MEDITERRANEE project is devoted to optimization of low-cost technologies of high speed data transmission from numerous (more than 100 for each area) local mobile and stationary land and maritime standalone stations for the purposes of Meteo-France, emergency response structures of Languedoc-Roussillon region, as well as for scientific and humanitarian organizations.
